The Startup Ecosystem Stars Awards Ceremony is a prestigious event that aims to recognise the best practices from the world’s best innovation regions and cities, while honouring programmes and institutions that strengthen innovation ecosystems and increase their recognition on a global scale.
On Wednesday, 4 December 2024 in Paris, the best organisations promoting innovation in their ecosystems were announced at the ninth edition of the Startup Ecosystem Stars Awards, organised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Mind the Bridge in cooperation with the OECD and the European Commission, with the support of Microsoft. Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA) was also awarded at the Startup Ecosystem Stars 2024 Award Ceremony for its contributions to the innovation ecosystem.
2024 Startup Ecosystem Stars
Startup Ecosystem Stars Awards annually recognize government-related organizations able to boost both inbound and outbound innovation and can represent cities, regions, or countries.
In total, the 2024 edition crowned 64 organizations, 35 as Startup Ecosystem Stars and 29 as Rising Stars, representing 36 countries worldwide (Europe 47%, 28% Asia 28%, North America 12%, Africa 5%, 3% from Oceania and the Middle East each, and LATAM 2%).These awards highlight the efforts of government-related organizations or programs that boost the development of startup ecosystems, focusing on areas like investment, talent nurturing, and industry support. BEBKA, which has been carrying out activities to develop the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem since its establishment, was also awarded the Startup Ecosystem Stars 2024 award this year.
BEBKA was honoured with this prestigious award for its efforts to promote Türkiye’s innovation and entrepreneurship potential in the international arena, demonstrating once again the importance of its efforts to develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem at both regional and national levels.
