As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Events Participation Call, 50 Turkish technology startups qualified to participate in CES Fair held in Las Vegas, USA, and took the world stage.
At the fair, attended by technology companies from over 150 countries, Turkish startups are showcasing their innovative products for the first time to the world, including the world’s first electric children’s bicycle, the world’s first and only conditional fan support platform, a smart cane for visually impaired children, and an initiative that converts coffee waste into bio-raw materials.
From January 9-12, 2024, at CES 2024 (Consumer Electronic Show), the world’s largest consumer electronics fair, the CES 2024 Turkey Pavilion was established with the collaboration of five Development Agencies working under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology for Turkish technology entrepreneurs.
Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA), Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), Ankara Development Agency (ANKARAKA), İzmir Development Agency (İZKA), and West Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA) formed a strong presence at the fair with the CES 2024 Turkey Delegation, consisting of 150 participants including Turkish technology entrepreneurs, stakeholders, and representatives.
In the CES 2024 Turkey Pavilion, 50 Turkish technology startups with innovative and technology-focused products in the consumer electronics field were present.
Among the Turkish technology startups showcased in the Turkey Pavilion are the world’s first electric children’s bicycle, the world’s first and only conditional fan support platform, a smart cane for visually impaired children, and a local initiative converting coffee waste into bio-raw materials. Other innovative technology products include wearable technologies, industrial design, digital logistics, unmanned aerial vehicles, mobile games, fast delivery solutions for e-commerce, a platform connecting parents with safe mobile babysitters, education technologies, electronic and automation solutions.
For four days, Turkish startups will have the opportunity to promote their products and technologies, meet potential customers, and establish new collaborations. Turkish Airlines also provided discounted tickets to the CES 2024 Turkey Delegation as part of a sponsorship agreement.
This year, the CES Fair features startups from around the world representing various technology categories such as artificial intelligence, smart cities, cryptocurrency and NFTs, food technology, digital health, augmented and virtual reality, robotics and drones, space technology, gaming and esports, vehicle technology, and more.
Joint participation of Turkish technology startups in CES, Web Summit, Slush, and Web Summit Qatar, some of the world’s most important entrepreneurship events, is being realized for the first time this year with the collaboration of five Development Agencies coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
More than 100 Turkish technology startups aiming to enter global markets are being taken to global events held in Las Vegas, Lisbon, Helsinki, and Doha as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Events Participation Call.
As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Events Participation Call, 23 Turkish technology startups participated in Web Summit, the world’s largest technology conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 13-16, 2023, showcasing their products and meeting investors. Additionally, 18 Turkish technology startups participated in the Slush event held in Helsinki, Finland, from November 30 to December 1, 2023, competing with international startups and meeting with venture capital funds.
Turkish technology entrepreneurs will also participate in Web Summit Qatar, held for the first time in Doha, Qatar, from February 26-29, 2024.
