Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik 2014-2023 Regional Plan is a strategic document with goals and contents that will guide regional development and it was carried out under the coordination of Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA). It was prepared with the wide participation of public institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations and private sector representatives.

Within the scope of the plan preparation studies, current situation in 2014 regarding the economic, social and cultural sectors were made and the problems and possibilities of the region were tried to be analyzed. Participatory meetings, such as district visits, meetings and survey studies were carried out. 33 district reports were prepared. 18 special commission meetings were held separately in each province under the headings of Industry, Tourism, Agriculture, Agricultural Industry and Forestry, Environment, Energy and Natural Resources, Spatial Development and Accessibility, and Social Structure, and special expertise commission reports were prepared. Vision and vision-oriented projects were discussed at the Regional Plan Workshop, where all regional stakeholders came together. With the sample selected from the members of the Development Board and member institutions, 750 people were reached by telephone survey and their opinions about the development priorities and goals of the region were obtained.

A specific website was opened, which contains up-to-date information on the Regional Plan, the ongoing studies, the meeting details of the special commissions, the surveys and the announcement of the events. As a result of all these participatory meetings, technical analyzes and evaluations; the Regional Plan was created in accordance with the principles and policies envisaged in national policies and programs. The Regional Plan determines and directs the socio-economic development targets, sectoral projections, and settlement development strategies for the development of our region in the next 10 years; on the basis of vision, development axis, priorities, measures and projects.

2014-2023 Regional Plan

Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik 2014-2023 Regional Plan, which was prepared with a participatory approach and based on scientific data, in line with the authorization received from the Ministry of Development in accordance with Article 8 of the Zoning Law No. 3194; was approved by the High Council of Regional Development with the decision dated 30.12.2014 and No. 2014/1.
