Manfred Pentz, Minister of State for European and Federal Affairs of the State of Hessen of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the accompanying delegation visited Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA).
Minister Manfred Pentz, and the accompanying delegation, who visited BEBKA and met with Acting General Secretary of BEBKA, Sabri Bayram and the agency officials, received information about the core focus areas of work in the BEBKA region, the economic profile and investment enviroment of the region .
Speaking during the visit, BEBKA Acting Secretary General Sabri Bayram stated that they were pleased to host the delegation including Dr Rainer Waldschmidt, the director of the Hessen Development Agency (HTAI) and said: ‘Our relationship with the Hessen Development Agency dates back to the past years. ‘Since then we have exchanged visits, built a relationship based on common goals and mutual respect. We believe there is still significant potential to turn our discussions into concrete actions,’ he said.
Sabri Bayram reminded that a protocol was signed between the state of Hessen and the Governorship of Bursa in 2010, and then a protocol was signed between the Hessen Development Agency (HTAI) and BEBKA in 2014 to take more concrete steps.” In 2018, BEBKA’s visit to Hessen together with BUİKAD and Mr. Rainer’s visit to our agency in 2019 continued. “Today we are taking an important step towards realising the full potential of our partnership. Your visit means not only the continuation but also the deepening of our relationship. We are keen to explore new avenues, especially in the areas of economic development, innovation and international co-operation.” he said
In his welcoming speech, Manfred Pentz, Minister of State for European and Federal Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hessen, spoke about the long-standing relations between Hessen and Bursa and drew attention to the potential of Bursa and Turkey.
During the visit, where cooperation topics for the upcoming period were also discussed within the framework of the protocol signed between BEBKA and the Hessen Development Agency, Minister Manfred Pentz thanked Acting General Secretary of BEBKA, Sabri Bayram, and the agency officials for their hospitality.
